This is a contentious case.  A developer has purchased this small, irregularly sized lot.  All of the mature trees will be removed, massive variances have been requested for lot coverage and front and backyard set backs.  Neighbours became very involved and many attended and spoke at the CofA meeting on Dec. 7/23.  City Planners recommended rejection of several of the variance requests.  Even with neighbourhood pushback and City Planners recommendations the CofA members accepted all variances.  Councillor Jaye Robinson was contacted and she passed a powerful motion in City council in mid December/23 to Appeal and Oppose the CofA Decision and for the City Solicitor to retain outside counsel.  This should be decided by the end of December 2023.  We are extremely please that Councillor Robinson has stepped up in a big way for the community.
